The US has banned Vegemite!?

By the gods if John Howard doesn't tear up our alliance as soon as this crosses his desk I will be sorely disappointed.

That's crazy. As long as I can always get it to Canada then it's okay. They better not try and take away my vegemite!!

Well it seems they've banned it because of the folate, one of the *healthy* things it contains... I'm told it's only allowed in bread, but that shouldn't be a problem since that's the usual destination of vegemite.

Canada seems safe and a good thing too, Cuban cigars aren't the only things that people are heading north for.
I've also heard rumours that a black market has already sprung up, but be careful you don't get the weak stuff that's been cut with promite.

Some Australians have suggested retaliating by recalling Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman.
They're free to keep Russell Crowe however.
